John Whatley was known as "Whitey"...he was a friendly and jovial guy, and loved cars. He had many wonderful cars and was a member of the T Timers. He was in a group of friends known as the "Damn Inglewood Crowd"...(named by Jack Tomlinsons mom)..and they hung out at Tops and worked on cars and raced cars. My favorite car of his was a 1956 Buick...pale yellow..which he accidentally drove into a library in Pasadena..he wrecked lots of cars. In his final years, he lived in Bellingham, Washington...near his aging mother. His family were from Canada and they had relatives there they visited. I could tell you a lot of funny stories about him...not enough paper....rest in peace...dear Whitey...Diane Tollefson
